The weather may still be cold, but the days are getting longer, and the daffodils are out – yes spring will be upon us soon.

It’s a good time to check your home’s exterior is in good nick as we head into warmer weather:

Roof check: Winter can be tough on your roof. Look for missing tiles, damage or leaks. A small problem now can become a big one later.

Gutter guard: Clear out those gutters! Clogged gutters can lead to water damage, mould and even foundation issues in the worst cases.

Trim trees: Overhanging branches can cause damage during spring storms. Prune back any branches that are too close to your home.

A little preventative maintenance now can save you big headaches later. DIY if you have the equipment to do this safely but remember, if you’re unsure about any of these tasks, it’s always a good idea to call in a professional!
