Welcome to the network – Buddy Zhang

We’re stoked to welcome Buddy Zhang and Beyond Insurance Broking to the IANZ network. 

Buddy’s starting up his new business after 15 years working for AMI, NZI and most recently Aon, where he was Asian Commercial Team Leader.

“I’ve gained great experience and knowledge working in different companies with different roles in all these years - now it’s time to challenge myself by applying all I’ve learnt into my own business”, Buddy says. 

“Insurance products are complex. I’d like to share my knowledge with clients so they can understand the importance of good cover how to mitigate losses if the worst happens.”

He says stepping out on his own is a bit like…. a trip to Japan. 

“It requires a bit of time and effort to get there. And when we get there, we realise it is almost a completely different world to where we live - different languages, different transportation, different food, different people. 

“Since everything in this journey is so different, this exploration becomes a lifetime lesson, and I am so excited for everyday in this journey. “
