Kids Can
Like many Kiwi charities, KidsCan has been working overtime this year to provide essential items to children in need.
KidsCan understands education is a child’s ticket out of poverty – it’s how we break the cycle of hardship, and it is at the core of everything KidsCan does.
“We need to do all we can to support vulnerable families through this crisis,” says KidsCan CEO Julie Chapman.
“KidsCan has seen a 30% increase in demand for food support from our partner schools this term, which is huge.”
“We’re feeding 10,000 more children every day and increasing the number of hot lunches we’re providing by 40% so that children have the fuel they need. We’re sending out thousands of fleece-lined jackets and solid shoes so kids make it to school warm and dry,” she says.
Insurance Advisernet is pleased to support KidsCan with a $5,000 donation, thanks to the generosity of our brokers and partners who so kindly pledged funds at our 2019 conference.
The money will go towards providing more food, clothing and basic health and hygiene items to KidsCan’s 787 low-decile partner schools and 56 low-equity partner early childhood centres.
