We’re delighted to welcome Oceania as the newest member of the IANZ family.
Founders Daniel Garner and Paul Ryan bring a wealth of experience to the table - Daniel played a critical role in the success of PIC Insurance Brokers for nearly two decades, while Paul has spent most of his career in some of NZ and the world’s largest companies in a range of advisory and communications roles.
At PIC, Dan and PJ (as they’re better known) were part of the team that guided the business through the challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic and the untimely passing of PIC founder Mike Garner.
Dan and PJ will keep things simple - focusing on relationships and delivering great outcomes for their clients. With extensive knowledge of the marine industry amongst other capabilities, we know they’re a great fit for the IANZ network.

What does an Insurance Broker do?
Insurance Brokers are highly trained insurance and risk management specialists. Just as you rely on your Solicitor for legal matters and your Accountant for financial affairs, they act on your behalf to provide expert advice, claims support and insurance solutions to protect your very best interests. An Insurance Broker works closely with you to understand and identify the various risks your business faces, before helping you decide the most appropriate and cost-effective ways to protect against them. This can include insurance policies, risk management strategies, or a combination of the two. Every business is different.
