Helping those who need it most
Today is the United Nations International Day of Charity. 5 September was chosen for this day to commemorate the passing of Mother Teresa, who dedicated her life to alleviating the suffering of others.
At IANZ we’re pleased, with the support of our brokers and industry partners, to help four wonderful charities in Aotearoa who are working tirelessly to help others:
- KidsCan – who help tamariki experiencing hardship by providing food, jackets, shoes and health products to schools and early childhood centres across the country.
- Mitey – supporting schools to deliver mental health education for Years 1-8.
- Homes of Hope – delivering therapeutic foster care services to children who have experienced trauma.
- Trees That Count - helping Kiwis plant more native trees across the motu to take action on climate risk and grow a brighter future.
Behind each of these organisations are people doing the hard yards to support those who need it most and create better futures. We see you and, thanks to the generosity of our broker network and industry partners who pledged funds at our recent conference, we are donating a total of over $60,000 to you.
We hope it helps. To our big-hearted brokers, we simply say, thank you.
